Greatly enjoyed this quick read. The chapter on using prudential judgment to decide whether to respond to attacks contained excellent practical advice for would-be apologists. The chapter arguing for an early dating of the four gospels was fascinating and reflected Keating's impressive erudition. And his chapter on the birth and survival of the Catholic faith in Japan was an inspiring, welcome perspective, given the recent interest generated by the Scorsese movie, which focused on apostasy. As usual, Keating treats us to a delightful combination of razor-sharp reasoning and an elegant writing style. Highly recommended! -Brandon haleProduct details

I guess the title should have warned me, but this is not a work on apologetics, but rather a narrow and strident defence of a particular style of apologetics. The author seems overly concerned with defending his profession and seems threatened by scholarship. Very disappointed by this book.
Karl Keating is absolutely one of the Church's top apologists. Excellent reading!
Having read Karl Keating’s other works, “Catholicism and Fundamentalism”, “The Usual Suspects”, “What Catholics Really Believe” etc I was happy to see his latest book “No Apology”.
As I knew the insight, clarity and knowledge of the Catholic faith and how to convey it, understand it and
defend it, that Karl does so well would be available in “No Apology” I had to get and read it right away. I was not disappointed. Excellent as usual!.
I appreciate his apologetics.
Once again Karl Keating promotes faith and apologetics through stories of various apostasies as well as stories from his years as an apologist. Each story brought a different topic and with each new chapter I found myself thinking what is Karl going to share now? This book is terrific on so many levels - I could go on for paragraphs! Suffice it to say that if you love apologetics he defends it vigorously and convincingly. If you love to learn Church history and hear stories about its beauty and its faithful saints you will love this book.
